Dr. Burtch comes to Amita with a history rich in cultural integration. She practiced in 2 different continents and learned/acclimatized to many different cultures; making this a strength offered in her practice. Dr. Burtch believes the continuity of care and building the patient-provider trust is the essence to a good practice.

Certified Nurse Midwife

Kelly graduated from Frontier Nursing University Midwifery program in 2016. Prior to becoming a nurse midwife, she worked in labor and delivery for 12 years. She draws from her wide variety of experiences having worked in home birth practices, a small community hospital, and large tertiary care hospitals.

Kelly is committed to empowering her clients to take ownership of their healthcare decisions. She is a strong advocate in shared decision-making, which occurs in the context of building relationships. She is dedicated to evidence-based practice. Kelly has clinical interests in lactation as well as perinatal mood disorders.

She lives in the western suburbs with her husband and 3 daughters. Kelly is involved in supporting the various activities of her girls. In her spare time, she does enjoy reading, gardening, baking, camping, and traveling.



Certified Nurse Midwife

Megan graduated from Univeristy of Illinois in Chicago Midwifery program in 2014. Prior to becoming a midwife, she had nearly 10 years of experience in women’s health, and brings a wide range of knowledge and skills in reproductive health to our midwifery team.

Megan is passionate about teaching all of her clients about their body and helping them to achieve their health goals. Contraception and vaginal health are two areas she is especially passionate about. She is strong advocate for evidence-based care and always applying the best recommendations and guidelines for care.

She lives in the Northwest suburbs with her husband and daughter, as well as  two cats. She enjoys traveling, reading, scrap booking, and gardening in her free time.



Certified Nurse Midwife

Tara graduated from University of Illinois in Chicago (UIC) with a Master’s degree in Nurse Midwifery in 2016. Prior to attending UIC she received her Master’s of Science in Nursing degree from Rush University in 2011.  Tara worked as a registered nurse in labor and delivery at Northwestern Medicine (Prentice Women’s Hospital and Central DuPage Hospital) for nearly 6 years.


Tara is passionate about empowering people in birth as well as caring for their bodies.  She is certified as a Breastfeeding Counselor and enjoys helping mother/infant dyads to have the feeding journey that works best for them. Tara is well educated on Fertility Awareness Method (also known as Natural Family Planning) and how to effectively use it as a contraceptive method as well as for aiding in conception. Tara believes in keeping up to date to provide evidenced-based care and support people in their decisions. 


She lives in Glen Ellyn with her husband and three beautiful girls. Her daughters were all delivered by midwives. She loves traveling, running, crafting, and enjoying nature. 



Certified Nurse Midwife

Kinsey graduated from Frontier Nursing University's Nurse Midwifery program in 2017. She brings with her two decades of nursing experience. She has worked in labor and delivery since 1999, and joined AMITA Adventist Hinsdale Hospital in 2010, working along side the OMG Midwives ever since.

Kinsey’s goal is to partner with women and empower them so they can make the best healthcare choices for themselves and their families. She lives in North Riverside with her husband and three daughters. She uses humor to get through life raising teenage daughters and finds it works well in providing support to women in labor as well!

Certified Nurse Midwife

Jaci graduated from Froniter Nursing University Midwifery Program in 2019. Prior to becoming a midwife, she worked as a registered nurse in labor and delivery, antepartum, and postpartum for 10 years at a large tertiary care hospital. She also taught nursing students for their OB and Women's Health clinical rotations. 


Jaci is passionate about teaching and making meaningful connections with clients. She believes that sharing evidence, knowledge, resources and support with women empowers them to take ownership in their care and helps to facilitate shared decision making. Jaci prioritizes preserving the normalcy of birth, and has a heart for teen clients in particular. 

She lives in Des Plaines with her husband, Jon and their three children. She has no spare time!
